OUR MISSION
American Waypoints exists to make America's history accessible, immersive, and unforgettable by connecting people to the places where history happened. Through location-based technology, augmented reality, storytelling, and exploration, we inspire curiosity, strengthen communities, and ensure the legacy of those who shaped our nation is experienced—not just remembered.
"We don't just tell America's story—we help people stand where it happened."
OUR STORY

American Waypoints was created to celebrate America's 250th anniversary and to make history more accessible than ever before.
Every day, we pass historic markers, monuments, battlefields, and landmarks without knowing the remarkable stories behind them. We believed there had to be a better way to connect people with the places that shaped our nation—using something almost everyone already carries: a smartphone.
American Waypoints transforms historic sites into immersive experiences through GPS navigation, augmented reality, storytelling, and interactive exploration. Instead of simply reading about history, visitors can stand where it happened and experience the people, events, and decisions that changed America.
Beginning in Beaufort County, South Carolina, our vision is to build a nationwide network of historic waypoints that inspires curiosity, strengthens communities, and keeps America's story alive for generations to come.

"Travel farther. Discover deeper. Experience the story of America."
